  "text": "(This note is not part of the Order)\nThis Order brings into force on 31st July 2008 section 46 of the Road Safety Act 2006 (article 2).\nSection 46 extends Part 2 of the Vehicles (Crime) Act 2001 to Scotland and Northern Ireland. Part 2 of the 2001 Act contains provisions regulating registration plate suppliers\nThe offences in section 17(1) (carrying on business as a registration plate supplier whilst unregistered) and 28 (selling a plate or other device as a registration plate and supplying a plate or device for unlawful activities) of the Vehicles (Crime) Act 2001 do not apply to persons in Scotland or Northern Ireland until 1st November 2008 (article 3).",
