  "text": "(1) In Part V of the Highways Act 1980 immediately before section 96 there shall be inserted—\n“ Power to install equipment for detection of traffic offences.\n95A A highway authority may install and maintain on or near a highway structures and equipment for the detection of traffic offences.”\n(2) In Part IV of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 after section 49 there shall be inserted—\n“ Equipment for detection of traffic offences\nPower to install equipment for detection of traffic offences.\n49A A roads authority may install and maintain on or near a road structures and equipment for the detection of traffic offences.”",
