# The Road Transport (Working Time) (Amendment) Regulations 2012, Introduction: Introductory text

Coming into force 11th May 2012
The Secretary of State for Transport makes the following regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972.
The Secretary of State is a Minister designated for the purposes of the European Communities Act 1972 in relation to measures relating to the organisation of working time.
