  "heading": "Transitional provision: national small series type approval of vehicles over 4m in height",
  "text": "(1) This regulation applies in respect of a national small series type approval—\n(a) granted pursuant to the Road Vehicles (Approval) Regulations 2009, and\n(b) valid immediately before the coming into force of these Regulations.\n(2) In relation to a type of vehicle specified in column (1) of the Table in this regulation and which exceeds 4 metres in height, the definition of “maximum permitted number” in regulation 21(9) is to be read as though it were a reference to the number shown in column (2) of the table in relation to the vehicle category to which that type belongs.\nTable\nMaximum permitted number\nColumn 1 Vehicle category\nColumn 2 Maximum permitted number\nM2 or M3\n1000\nN2 or N3\n1200\nO3 or O4\n2000",
