  "heading": "Amendment of the Passenger Car (Fuel Consumption and CO2 Emissions Information) Regulations 2001",
  "text": "(1) The Passenger Car (Fuel Consumption and CO2 Emissions Information) Regulations 2001 are amended as follows.\n(2) In regulation 3(1)—\n(a) omit the definition of “the 2009 Regulations”;\n(b) for the definition of “EC certificate of conformity”, substitute—\n““EU certificate of conformity” has the same meaning as “certificate of conformity” in Article 3(5) of the Type Approval Regulation;”;\n(c) for the definition of “EC type approval certificate”, substitute—\n““EU type approval certificate” means a type approval certificate issued pursuant to Article 28 or 41 of the Type Approval Regulation;”;\n(d) omit the definition of “Framework Directive”;\n(e) in the definition of “make”, for “EC” (twice), substitute “ EU ”;\n(f) in the definition of “official fuel consumption”, for “EC” (twice), substitute “ EU ”;\n(g) in the definition of “official specific emissions of CO2”, for “EC” (twice), substitute “ EU ”;\n(h) in the definition of “type”, “variant” and “version”, for “Annex II B of the Framework Directive”, substitute “ Part B of Annex I to the Type Approval Regulation ”;\n(i) at the appropriate place in the alphabetical order, insert—\n““the Type Approval Regulation” means Regulation (EU) 2018/858 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 30 May 2018 on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles;”.\n(3) In regulation 4—\n(a) in the opening words, for “of Annex II of the Framework Directive”, substitute “ in Article 4(1)(a) of the Type Approval Regulation ”;\n(b) in paragraph (a), for “the Framework Directive”, substitute “ the Type Approval Regulation ”;\n(c) in paragraph (c), for “Article 9(1)(b) of the Framework Directive”, substitute “ point 5 of Part A of Annex I to the Type Approval Regulation ”.\n(4) In Schedule 5—\n(a) in paragraph 6—\n(i) in sub-paragraph (2), for “EC” (three times), substitute “ EU ”;\n(ii) in sub-paragraph (4)(a)(i), for “EC”, substitute “ EU ”.\n(b) in paragraph 7(1), for “EC”, substitute “ EU ”.\n(c) in paragraph 8(2), for “EC”, substitute “ EU ”.",
