# The Road Vehicles (Authorised Weight) (Amendment) Regulations 2023, Introduction: Introductory text

Made 5th July 2023
Coming into force 6th July 2023
The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 41(1), (2)(d), (3) and (5) of the Road Traffic Act 1988 (the “1988 Act”).
Representative organisations have been consulted in accordance with section 195(2) of the 1988 Act.
In accordance with paragraph 13(1) of Schedule 8 to the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018, a draft of this instrument has been laid before Parliament and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament.
