  "text": "In regulation 7 (length)—\n(a) in paragraph (3)—\n(i) after sub-paragraph (b), omit “or”, and\n(ii) at the end of sub-paragraph (c) insert—\n“, or\n(d) a vehicle combination which includes—\n(i) a motor vehicle of category N2, or\n(ii) a motor vehicle of category N3,\nwith an elongated cab”;\n(b) after paragraph (3C), insert—\n“(3D) Item 4 of the Table does not apply to—\n(a) a motor vehicle of category N2, or\n(b) a motor vehicle of category N3,\nwith an elongated cab type approved in accordance with point 1.4 of Part C of Annex I of The Type Approval Masses and Dimensions Regulations, point 1.4 of Part C of Annex I of The Type Approval Masses and Dimensions Regulations (Northern Ireland), or point 1.4 of Part C of Annex I of The (European Union) Type Approval Masses and Dimensions Regulations.”; and\n(c) after paragraph (9), insert—\n“(10) For the purposes of this regulation—\n(a) “a motor vehicle of category N2” means a vehicle of the type described in point (b)(ii) of Article 4(1) of Regulation (EU) 2018/858 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 30 May 2018 on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles, amending Regulations (EC) No 715/2007 and (EC) No 595/2009 and repealing Directive 2007/46/EC,\n(b) “a motor vehicle of category N3” means a vehicle of the type described in point (b)(iii) of Article 4(1) of Regulation (EU) 2018/858 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 30 May 2018 on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles, amending Regulations (EC) No 715/2007 and (EC) No 595/2009 and repealing Directive 2007/46/EC.”.",
