# The Road Vehicles Lighting (Amendment) Regulations 1987, Introduction: Introductory text


ROAD TRAFFIC
Made 23rd July 1987
Laid before Parliament 5th August 1987
Coming into force 1st January 1988
The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 40(1) and (2A) and 41(3) of the Road Traffic Act 1972, now vested in him, and after consultation with representative organisations in accordance with section 199(2) of that Act, hereby makes the following Regulations:—
