Regulation 10 Change of keeper

in paragraph (1)(b)(i) for the words “, if the registration document is in his possession, deliver it” there shall be substituted the words “deliver the registration document”;

after paragraph (1) there shall be added—

“(1A)

Where the registration document has been, or may have been, lost, stolen or destroyed, notification under paragraph (1)(b)(i) shall be accompanied by an application to the Secretary of State for the issue of a new registration document and a fee of £19.”;

after paragraph (2) there shall be added—

“(2A)

Where a vehicle trader cannot comply with paragraph (2) because the registration document has been, or may have been, lost, stolen or destroyed, he shall submit an application to the Secretary of State for the issue of a new registration document accompanied by a fee of £19.

(2B)

On receiving notification of a change of keeper in accordance with paragraphs (1)(b)(i), (1A), (2) or (2A), the Secretary of State shall, subject to regulation 15—

(a)

record the change in the register, and

(b)

issue to the new registered keeper a new registration document.”.
