# The Road Vehicles Registration Fee Regulations 1998, Regulation 2: Fee for registration of a mechanically propelled vehicle


(1) A vehicle, which is note a vehicle falling within paragraph (2) below, shall not be registered under section 22 of the Vehicle Excise and Registration Act 1994 unless a fee of £25 has been paid to the Secretary of State.
(2) Paragraph (1) does not apply to a vehicle which is an exempt vehicle by virtue of paragraph 18 or 19 of Schedule 2 to that Act.
