# The Roads (Northern Ireland) Order 1993, Article 60: Damage caused to road by excavations, etc. on adjoining land


Where a road is damaged by or in consequence of any excavation or other works on land adjoining the road, the Department may make good the damage and recover from the owner or occupier of the land any expenses thereby reasonably incurred by it.
