# Roads (Speed Limit) Order (Northern Ireland) 1996, Note: Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order.)
This Order:
(a) increases from 30 miles per hour to 40 miles per hour the speed limit on the restricted roads specified in Schedule 1 (Article 2);
(b) increases from 30 miles per hour to 50 miles per hour the speed limit on the restricted roads specified in Schedule 2 (Article 3);
(c) reduces from 40 miles per hour to 30 miles per hour the speed limit on the restricted roads specified in Schedule 3 (Article 4); and
(d) revokes the provisions described in Schedule 4, which are spent (Article 5).
