# The Roads (Transitional Powers) (Scotland) Amendment Order 1995, Introduction: Introductory text


ROADS AND BRIDGES, SCOTLAND
Made 19th December 1995
Laid before Parliament 10th January 1996
Coming into force 31st January 1996
The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 12A, 12B and 143(1) of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, having considered it necessary or expedient as a result of, or in connection with, the establishment of new local government areas on 1st April 1996, hereby makes the following Order:
