# The Roads (Transitional Powers) (Scotland) Amendment Order 1995, Note: Explanatory note


(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order amends the Roads (Transitional Powers) (Scotland) Order 1995. That Order provided for a change in the status of certain roads consequential upon the establishment of new local government areas on 1st April 1996.
The amendments made by this Order will mean that—
(i) the A819 road mentioned in paragraph 15 of Part I of Schedule 1 to the original order will not become a trunk road; and
(ii) the A828 trunk road mentioned in paragraphs 6 and 7 of Part II of Schedule 1 will remain a trunk road and the proposed road mentioned in Part II of Schedule 2 to the original order will become part of the A828 trunk road on completion.
