Subject as hereinafter provided, a dog handler’s allowance shall be payable—

(a)

in the case of a member of the rank of constable, at the annual rate, with effect as from 31st August 1995, of £987 and, with effect as from 31st August 1996, of £1,023;

(b)

in the case of a member of any other rank, at the annual rate, with effect as from 31st August 1995, of £1,347 and, with effect as from 31st August 1996, of £1,395.
