# The Rural Development Programme (Transfer) (England) Regulations 2018, Introduction: Introductory text

Coming into force 1st October 2018
The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972.
The Secretary of State is a Minister designated for the purposes of section 2(2) of that Act in relation to the common agricultural policy of the European Union.
