# The Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006 (Commencement No. 4) Order 2009, Article 1: Citation and interpretation


(1) This Order may be cited as the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006 (Commencement No. 4) Order 2009.
(2) In this Order—
“the Act” means the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006;
“independent school” has the meaning given by section 463 of the Education Act 1996;
“non-maintained special school” has the meaning given by section 337 of the Education Act 1996.
