# The Sandeels Licensing Order 1989, Article 2: Prohibition of fishing for sandeels without a licence


Fishing for sandeels by any British fishing boat within Scottish inshore waters in ICES IVa and ICES VIa is prohibited unless authorised by a licence granted by one of the Ministers.
