# The School Admissions Code (Appointed Day) (England) Order 2021, Article 3: Savings provision


(1) Despite article 2, the School Admissions Code 2014 continues to have effect, as it had effect immediately before 1st September 2021, in relation to an application for the admission of a child to a maintained school made before 1st September 2021.
(2) In this article “School Admissions Code 2014” means the School Admissions Code, a copy of a draft of which was laid before each House of Parliament on 30th October 2014 and which came into force on 19th December 2014.
