# The School Governance (Constitution) (England) Regulations 2012, Regulation 19: Resignation

Extent: E+W

(1) A governor may at any time resign from the office of governor by giving written notice to the clerk to the governing body.
(2) The head teacher’s resignation may be withdrawn at any time by the head teacher giving written notice to the clerk to the governing body.
