# The School Information (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2025

S.I. 2025/600 · made 19 May 2025

These Regulations amend the School Information (England) Regulations 2008 (S.I. 2008/3093) to require maintained schools to publish a link to the school’s page on the Financial Benchmarking and Insights Tool website which is maintained by the Department for Education. This amendment is made because the Schools Financial Benchmarking website is replaced with the Financial Benchmarking and Insights Tool.

Laid before Parliament 21st May 2025
Coming into force 16th June 2025
The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 537(1)(a) and (4) of the Education Act 1996.

## 1 Citation, commencement and extent

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the School Information (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2025.
(2) These Regulations come into force on 16th June 2025.
(3) These Regulations extend to England and Wales.

## 2 Amendment of the School Information (England) Regulations 2008

(1) The School Information (England) Regulations 2008 are amended in accordance with paragraph (2).
(2) In Schedule 4 (specified information to be published on a school’s website), in paragraph 17—
(a) in sub-paragraph (1), for “Schools Financial Benchmarking website” substitute “Financial Benchmarking and Insights Tool”,
(b) for sub-paragraph (2)(a), substitute—
“(a) “Financial Benchmarking and Insights Tool” means the online Financial Benchmarking and Insights Tool maintained by the Department for Education; and”.
