# The School Information (England) Regulations 2008, Introduction: Introductory text

The Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 29(5), 537 and 569(4) of the Education Act 1996, and section 92 of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998:
