  "text": "The governing body of every maintained school and maintained nursery school and the proprietor of every non-maintained special school or independent school must provide the authority with the following information for the reporting school year upon receiving a written request from the authority for such information within the period specified by it in such a request:\n(a) the total number of school sessions in the reporting school year during which the pupil was registered at the school;\n(b) the total number of such sessions in the reporting school year attended by the pupil; and\n(c) the total number of authorised and unauthorised absences for the pupil.",
