The 1st June 1965 is hereby appointed as the day upon which the following provisions of the Science and Technology Act 1965 shall come into force:

(i)

subsections (3) and (4) of section 3 (for all purposes);

(ii)

subsection (5) of section 3 so far as is necessary for giving effect to the provisions in Schedule 2 for the amendment of Acts of Parliament other than the Income Tax Act 1952.
