# The Scotland Act 1998 (Consequential Modifications) (No.1) Order 1999, Article 1: Citation, commencement and interpretation


(1) This Order may be cited as the Scotland Act 1998 (Consequential Modifications) (No.1) Order 1999.
(2) This Order shall come into force as follows:–
(a) articles 1 to 3 shall come into force on 6th May 1999;
(b) article 4 shall come into force on the date of coming into force of section 44(1)(c) of the 1998 Act; and
(c) article 5 shall come into force on the principal appointed day.
(3) In this Order, “the 1998 Act” means the Scotland Act 1998.
