# The Scotland Act 1998 (Consequential Modifications) (No.1) Order 1999, Paragraph 5


In section 52(2) of the Patents Act 1977 (opposition, appeal and arbitration), for “the Lord Advocate” there is substituted “the appropriate Law Officer within the meaning of section 4A of the Crown Suits (Scotland) Act 1857”.
