  "heading": "Effect of Scots language strategy",
  "text": "(1) The Scottish Ministers must have regard to the Scots language strategy in—\n(a) making policies (including proposals for legislation), and\n(b) exercising their functions.\n(2) A relevant public authority must have regard to the Scots language strategy in exercising its functions.\n(3) In this Chapter “relevant public authority” means—\n(a) a Scottish public authority,\n(b) so far as not falling within paragraph (a), a cross-border public authority (but only in relation to functions exercisable in or as regards Scotland which do not relate to reserved matters),\n(c) a post-16 education body within the meaning of section 35 of the Further and Higher Education (Scotland) Act 2005,\n(d) Scottish Rail Holdings,\n(e) Scottish Water, and\n(f) the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body.",
