# The Scottish Parliament (Elections etc.) Order 2010, Article 51: Penalty for failure as respects return of declarations

Subject to the provisions of article 53, any candidate or election agent who fails to comply with the requirements of articles 47, 48 or 49 shall be guilty of an illegal practice.
