# The Scottish Parliament (Elections etc.) Order 2015, Article 55: Duty of appropriate returning officer to forward returns and declarations to Electoral Commission

Where the appropriate returning officer receives any return or declaration under article 47, 48 or 49 in respect of a Scottish parliamentary election, that returning officer shall as soon as reasonably practicable after receiving the return or declaration deliver a copy of it to the Electoral Commission and, if so requested by the Commission, shall also deliver to them a copy of any accompanying documents.
