  "heading": "Extent, commencement and short title",
  "text": "(1) This Act extends to England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.\n(2) The following provisions of this Act come into force on the day on which this Act is passed—\n(a) any provision so far as conferring a power to make regulations;\n(b) sections 1 and 2, 16 to 19 and this section.\n(3) The provisions of this Act not mentioned in subsection (2) come into force on such day as the Secretary of State may by regulations made by statutory instrument appoint.\n(4) Regulations under subsection (3) may—\n(a) appoint different days for different purposes;\n(b) contain transitional provision.\n(5) This Act may be cited as the Seafarers’ Wages Act 2023.",
