# The Secure Accommodation (Scotland) Regulations 1996, Introduction: Introductory text

Laid before Parliament 31st December 1996
Coming into force 1st April 1997
The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 60(1) of the Social Work (Scotland) Act 1968, section 75 of the Children (Scotland) Act 1995, and section 44(5) of the Criminal Procedure (Scotland) Act 1995, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, and after consulting the Council on Tribunals, hereby makes the following Regulations:
