  "text": "(1) Every trainee shall be searched on his reception into a centre and subsequently as the governor thinks necessary.\n(2) A trainee shall be searched in as seemly a manner as is consistent with discovering anything concealed.\n(3) No trainee shall be stripped and searched—\n(a) without the authority of the governor;\n(b) in the presence of more than two officers; and\n(c) in the sight of another trainee or in the sight or presence of an officer not of the same sex.\n(4) A written record shall be kept of any search to which paragraph (3) above applies which shall specify—\n(a) the name of the trainee;\n(b) the reason for the search;\n(c) when the search was carried out;\n(d) who authorised the search and who carried it out; and\n(e) what, if anything, was found as a result of the search.",
