# The Seed Potatoes (Levy) (Revocation) Order (Northern Ireland) 2008, Introduction: Introductory text

Coming into operation 1st May 2009
The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 3(1), (2), (4) and (6) of the Agriculture (Miscellaneous Provisions) (Northern Ireland) Order 1984 . In accordance with Article 3(9) of that Order it has consulted with such organisations, bodies and persons as appear to it to be representative of persons engaged by way of business in the production or marketing of seed potatoes.
