# The Seed Potatoes Regulations 1991, Regulation 8: Official examination of seed potatoes


Subject to the provisions of regulation 21, no person shall market any quantity of basic or certified seed potatoes which has been prepared for marketing until either it has been subjected to an official examination by an authorised officer, or that person has been notified in writing by such an officer that official examination prior to marketing is not required.
