# The Seed Potatoes Regulations 1991, Regulation 9: Basic and certified seed potatoes: identity and packing


Subject to the provisions of regulation 21, no person shall market basic seed potatoes or certified seed potatoes otherwise than in a lot consisting wholly of either basic seed potatoes or certified seed potatoes of one variety and of one class:
Provided that the provisions of this regulation shall be deemed to be complied with if in relation to the lot the tolerance as to varietal purity specified in regulation 17 is not exceeded.
