  "text": "(1) Section 9A is amended as follows.\n(2) In subsection (1)(a), after “relevant officers” insert “ mentioned in subsection (2) ”.\n(3) After subsection (5) insert—\n“(5A) In relation to electoral registration officers for areas in Wales, the reference to their functions in subsection (2)(a) is a reference to their functions in relation to registers of parliamentary electors.”\n(4) In subsection (6)—\n(a) in paragraph (a), at the end insert “ other than one mentioned in paragraph (d) of that subsection ”;\n(b) omit paragraph (d);\n(c) in paragraph (e), omit “or Wales”.\n(5) In subsection (7), omit paragraph (b).\n(6) In subsection (8)—\n(a) in the words before paragraph (a), after “sections” insert “ 9AA, ”;\n(b) in paragraph (b), after “subsection (6)” insert “ or section 9AA(6) ”;\n(c) in paragraph (c), after “subsection (7)” insert “ or section 9AA(7) ”.",
