  "text": "Representation Of The People\nSenedd Cymru\nMade 16 June 2025\nLaid before Senedd Cymru 19 June 2025\nComing into force 18 July 2025\nThe Democracy and Boundary Commission Cymru (“the Commission”) has conducted a boundary review of the Senedd constituencies, under the provisions for Senedd constituencies set out in paragraphs 1 to 5 of Schedule 2 to the Senedd Cymru (Members and Elections) Act 2024 (“the 2024 Act”).\nThe Commission has submitted a final report dated 11 March 2025 to the Welsh Ministers, under paragraphs 2(2) and 8(1) of Schedule 2 to the 2024 Act, containing its determinations for the naming, composition and designation of the Senedd constituencies.\nThe Welsh Ministers, having laid the report before the Senedd on 11 March 2025 as required by paragraph 8(5) of Schedule 2 to the 2024 Act, make these Regulations to give effect to the Commission’s determinations in keeping with the powers given to them by paragraph 9(1), (5) and (6) of Schedule 2 to the 2024 Act.",

      "text": "The Local Government Boundary Commission for Wales was established by section 53 of, and Schedule 8 to, the Local Government Act 1972 (c. 70). Section 53 and Schedule 8 were repealed by section 73(2) of, and Schedule 2 to, the Local Government (Democracy) (Wales) Act 2013 (anaw 4) which was renamed as the Democracy and Boundary Commission Cymru etc. Act 2013 (“the 2013 Act”), by the Senedd Cymru (Members and Elections) Act 2024 (asc 4) (“the 2024 Act”) (see section 11(1)). The 2013 Act re-named the Local Government Boundary Commission for Wales as the Local Democracy and Boundary Commission for Wales. The 2024 Act re-names the Local Democracy and Boundary Commission for Wales as the Democracy and Boundary Commission Cymru (see section 12)."
