  "long_title": "This Order further amends the Service Departments Register Order 1959. The principal changes are:—Spent references to the Admiralty, Army Council and Air Council have been replaced by reference to the Defence Council and the reference to the Minister of Aviation has been revoked.The reference to “column” contained in article 5(3) has been omitted to reflect the change in the layout of the register.The list of welfare organisations contained in Part II of the Schedule has been brought up to date by removing some references and adding the Services Sound and Vision Corporation.That amended list takes effect now to apply to persons serving abroad in an organisation concerned with the welfare of the armed forces there (and their families) in whose case records of births as well as deaths may be kept there under the Order (previously deaths only were recorded).",
