# The Sexual Offences Act 2003 (Commencement) Order 2004, Note: Explanatory note


(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order brings the provisions of the Sexual Offences Act 2003 that extend to England, Wales and Northern Ireland into force on 1st May 2004 in so far as they are not already in force. Sections 138 and 141 to 143 came into force on Royal Assent.
