Article 2 Interpretation

In this Order, unless the context otherwise requires–

• “agent of the owner” includes any person engaged by or on behalf of the owner in the transportation of sheep to the Shetland Islands;

• “the Council” means the Shetland Islands Council;

• “the proper officer of the Council” shall be the person appointed by the Council as such, for the purposes of section 202 of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973^f1;

• “the regulations” means regulations made or to be made by the Council under article 3(1) below;

• “the Shetland Islands” shall be construed as the area of the Shetland Islands Council;

• “treatment” includes vaccination.
