  "heading": "Provision of email addresses to sheriff clerk",
  "text": "(1) A solicitor representing a party in an action of the sort mentioned in rule 15A.1(a) must provide to the sheriff clerk an email address for the purpose of transacting motion business.\n(2) A solicitor who does not have suitable facilities for transacting motion business by email may make a declaration in writing to that effect, which must be—\n(a) sent to the sheriff clerk; and\n(b) intimated to each of the other parties to the cause.\n(3) A party to an action of the sort mentioned in rule 15A.1(a) who is not represented by a solicitor may provide to the sheriff clerk an email address for the purpose of transacting motion business.\n(4) The sheriff clerk must maintain a list of the email addresses provided for the purpose of transacting motion business, which must be published in up to date form on the website of the Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service.\n(5) The sheriff clerk must also include on that list an email address of the court for the purpose of lodging motions.",
