# The Ship and Port Facility (Security) Regulations 2004, Regulation 17: Minimum period for retention of records


The master shall be responsible for ensuring that records of the activities specified in section 10.1 of Part A of the ISPS Code and which are addressed in the ship security plan, are kept on board the ship for a period of at least three years from the date of the activity taking place.
