# The Short-term Holding Facility Rules 2018, Article 57: Extension of Part 8 of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999 to short-term holding facilities


The following provisions of Part 8 of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999 are extended to short-term holding facilities—
(a) section 151 (intervention by Secretary of State);
(b) section 152(1) to (4) (visiting committees and inspections);
(c) section 158 (wrongful disclosure of information), and
(d) section 159 (power of constable to act outside his jurisdiction).
