# The Smoke Control Areas (Exempted Fireplaces) Order 1982, Article 1: Title, commencement and extent


(1) This order may be cited as the Smoke Control Areas (Exempted Fireplaces) Order 1982 and shall come into operation on 16th December 1982.
(2) This order applies to England and Wales.
