# The Smoke Control Areas (Exempted Fireplaces) Order 1989, Article 1: Title, commencement and extent


(1) This Order may be cited as the Smoke Control Areas (Exempted Fireplaces) Order 1989 and shall come into force on 30th October 1989.
(2) This Order shall extend to England and Wales.
