  "text": "Provisions of the Social Security Act 1980 for which 21st November 1983 is appointed as the day of coming into force.\nProvisions of the Act\nSubject matter\nSub-sections (1) and (6) of section 7 so far as not already in force.\nAmendments of Family Income Supplements Act 1970.\nIn Part I of Schedule 1— paragraphs 1(1), 2, 6 and 7\nAmendments relating to similar treatment for men and women in respect of increases of short-term benefits, invalidity pension, non-contributory invalidity pension, retirement pension and disablement pension for a spouse or children.\nIn Part II of Schedule 5, the entries relating to sections 44 (so far as it repeals sub-section (5)) and 66 (so far as it repeals sub-section (1)(b) of and Schedule 20 to the Social Security Act 1975); and\nthe entry relating to section 17(1) of the Family Income Supplements Act 1970.\nRepeal of enactments.",
