# The Social Security Act 1981 Commencement Order 1981, Article 2: Appointed day


The appointed day for the purposes of the provisions of sections 2 to 7 and 8(4) and (5) of, and Schedules 1 and 2 to, the Social Security Act 1981 (the provisions of that Act which did not come into operation on its passing on 2nd July 1981) is 10th August 1981.
