# The Social Security Act 1986 (Commencement No. 9) Order 1988, Note: Explanatory note


(This note is not part of the Order)
Article 2 brings into force on 11th April 1988 the provisions of paragraphs 8 and 10 of Schedule 3 to the Social Security Act 1986 and consequential repeals.
Article 3 revokes the commencement in the Social Security Act 1986 (Commencement No. 7) Order 1987 of paragraph 11 of Schedule 3 to the Social Security Act 1986 (which relates to widower’s death benefit) and of specified repeals in Schedule 11 to that Act which relate or refer to industrial death benefit.
