  "text": "(1) In Schedule 5 to the Supplementary Benefits Act 1976, paragraph 1 (power to provide re-establishment courses and facilities for persons attending them) shall cease to have effect.\n(2) For paragraph 4 of that Schedule (power of Secretary of State to make contributions to voluntary organisations which provide re-establishment courses or resettlement units) there shall be substituted—\n“ Grants for voluntary organisations providing places\n4 (1) The Secretary of State may, upon such terms and subject to such conditions as he may determine, give assistance by way of grant to any local authority or voluntary organisation which provides places for purposes similar to the purposes for which resettlement units are provided by the Secretary of State.\n(2) In this paragraph “local authority” means the council of a county, a district, a region, an islands area or a London borough, or the Common Council of the City of London.”",
