  "text": "(This note is not part of the Regulations)\nThese Regulations amend the Social Security (Attendance Allowance) (No. 2) Regulations 1975 ( “the Attendance Allowance Regulations” ). Regulation 2 of these Regulations amends regulation 5D of the Attendance Allowance Regulations to take account of the change in wording made to section 35(4A) of the Social Security Act 1975 by Schedule 8 to the Social Security Act 1989. The effect of the amended regulation is to provide, as before, that where a fresh claim is made within six months of the expiry of an Attendance Allowance Board certificate, an allowance may be made for the intervening period.",
